Teacher Wellbeing Index 2021

Education Support has released their latest Teacher Wellbeing Index which provides an annual snapshot of the mental health and wellbeing of teachers and education staff working in the UK. The report gives an insight into the working lives of staff under COVID-19, presenting a stark picture of the toll taken on educators’ lives over the past five years.

The data shows that while good work is taking place, many long-term trends in staff mental health have not materially improved. Stress levels have remained high for the last five years and workload is still a concern, consistently one of the most cited reasons for symptoms of poor mental health. The pandemic has also had a significant impact on wellbeing.
