Ofqual have updated their guidance confirming details on centres submitting data and evidence for this summer’s GCSE and A Levels grades. From 26 May until 18 June 2021, centres will be able to submit their students grades whereby samples of work will be requested for quality assurance.
The updated guidance sits alongside information about the types of evidence that should be used and setting standards of work. When submitting grades to exam boards, centres are expected to:
- Submit evidence for at least one A level subject and two GCSE subjects
- Provide evidence used to determine the grades for at least five students
- Submit the evidence requested by exam boards within 48 hours of the request being made
- Have grade submissions signed off by at least two teachers in a subject (one of whom should be a head of department or subject lead) and the head of the centre.
